John B. Henry Chairman, Committee for the Republic
As the founder and CEO of three corporations, Mr. Henry has raised $100 million in venture capital and public equity, with a focus on taking market-making into new areas. Mr. Henry raised $70 million in venture capital and public equity for Crop Genetics International. He established Clean Air Capital Markets, an environmental investment bank, and pioneered the private placement market for sulfur dioxide pollution allowances. In 2000, he founded eLawForum, DryStone’s predecessor, to make a market in legal services. Mr. Henry is a graduate of Harvard College and Columbia Law School and has served on numerous boards of non-profit (Harvard, the Smithsonian) and for-profit organizations.
