Molly Sinclair McCartney is co-author with James McCartney of America’s War Machine: Vested Interests, Endless Conflicts, which documentsthe expansion of the military-industrial complex and provides a history of American warmongering over the past half century. She worked as a newspaper reporter for more than 30 years, including 14 years at the Washington Post and 10 years at the Miami Herald. She has a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University, where she concentrated on U.S. foreign relations. She was a Nieman Fellow, class of 1978, at Harvard University. In addition to her newspaper experience, she worked in public relations in the 1990s at the American Petroleum Institute, the trade association of the major oil companies. She was a Fellow in the Executive Development Program at Northwestern University in 1997, and a Public Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center in 2012.
